Event Description

Save the SurfClean the beach, learn to surf, strike a yoga pose or simply pass a ball!

The thinkLA Save the Surf event is a chance for our industry to give back to our community and help protect the beaches that help make LA so special.

Give an hour to picking up trash and receive a free surf lesson, yoga class on the beach and a tasty lunch from one of our sponsors.


Check-in

Please check with volunteers wearing Orange thinkLA Polos. Once you arrive you will check-in for surf or yoga lessons. Please ALLOT an hour before or after your lesson for beach clean-up!

***Please Note: ALL ATTENDEES MUST SIGN A LIABLITY WAIVER AT THE EVENT INORDER TO PARTICIPATE!***

10:00 AM Meet & Greet with coffee and pastries
10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Session #1: Check in for Surf or Yoga Lessons
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Session #2: Check in for Surf or Yoga Lessons
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Group Lunch: Rutt’s Hawaiian (must have a wrist band)
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM

Location and Parking

Meeting location: 100 Bay St, Santa Monica, CA 90405
Cross street: Ocean Way
Major Cross Street: SW Ocean Ave and Pico Blvd (Near Crescent Bay Park )

We will be in front of Tower 20 – please look for thinkLA signs

Parking Info: There should be a big beach parking lot near tower 20 or street parking on Bay St. Please check all signs and restrictions. We don’t want you to get towed or ticketed!

Parking Cost: $5-10 for all day parking. Please bring Cash!


What to Bring

EVERYONE: Make sure to bring cash for parking, sunscreen, hat/sunglasses, water, and other beach day gears.

YOGA: Also bring yoga mat or towel.

SURF: Also bring wet suit.
