Now in its 26th year, the Lifesaver Award honors an individual for their outstanding devotion to the charity and its mission. This tradition began in 1982, ten years after Dennis Holt and George Green established the AIEF as a resource for those who work in the greater Los Angeles advertising community and are facing life crises, usually due to catastrophic illness or injury. Such recipients have devoted their time and unfailing support to help raise awareness and funds that allow the AIEF to continue to aid our colleagues in need. The 2008 Lifesaver Award honors two such individuals: Mr. Paul Ratzky, Senior Director, Agency Development, Yahoo! and President of thinkLA and Mr. Tim Hand, West Coast Director, Sales, Kelley Blue Book and Director of thinkLA, to acknowledge their exceptional work on behalf of the charity over the past several years. ...
